Mission and Vision
Catharsis Arts Foundation is a non-profit, currently in residence in New York City, established in November 2023. Through artworks, exhibitions, conversations, workshops, concerts and more, we build collective projects and exhibitions, interdisciplinary and transcultural conversations, to catalyse collective healing. We envision a world where art acts as a catalyst for empathy, collective healing, and change. Through our work, we build a platform that uplifts marginalized voices, nurtures mutual understanding, and generates lasting virtuous circles. We believe that creativity can restore self-esteem and transform lives—both individually and collectively.
Our Beliefs
ART HEALS We believe art restores equilibrium and sparks transformation. Collaborative art, in particular, forges bonds that transcend borders and boundaries. It is more than an act of creation—it is a vehicle for empathy, collective healing, and change.
COLLABORATION By bringing together diverse perspectives and lived experiences, we foster shared learning, mutual respect, and the emergence of new forms of expression. Collaboration is not just a method—it is a value and a vision.
ACTING FOR THE LONG-TERM We choose to move deliberately. We embrace slowness, reflection, and the deep time required for meaningful transformation. This is how we bridge divides and build lasting impact.
